April 2025 – Manila, Philippines | More than 200 family advocates, speakers, partners, and leaders from across Asia, the U.S., and Europe gathered in Manila for the 2025 Family First Global Summit. United under the theme “One God. One Family.”, the summit highlighted the power of cross-cultural collaboration. At its core was a shared mission: to strengthen families as the foundation of resilient, values-based societies.

A Global Call to Strengthen Families

Global Chairman Gregory W. Slayton emphasized the urgent need to confront the cultural shifts impacting families.

“Around the world, we’re seeing a rise in negative trends that distort the meaning of family and identity. These aren’t just philosophical trends, they’re eroding the foundation of entire societies,”

he said.

“Our response is not fear, but loving truth. By equipping families with wisdom and practical tools, we pass on what is right to the next generation—starting in the home.”

The 7Fs: A Framework for Generational Impact

Throughout the summit, participants have gone through the 7Fs framework—faith, family, friends, finances, fitness, fun, and fulfillment —through expert-led sessions that connected biblical principles with practical applications. Speakers included Ptr. Joey Bonifacio (Faith), Rev. John Thang (Family), Dr. Grace Sumbillo (Friends), Randell Tiongson (Finances), Muy and Ria Reyes (Fitness), and BJ Sebastian (Fulfillment). Delegates reflected on how the 7Fs could be contextualized and applied across varying national and social environments. Download the 7Fs presentation and bring these tools to your own community.

Glenn Yu, Chairman of Family First Global Asia, reflected on how Asia’s rapid development presents both a challenge and an opportunity.

“As economies expand and urban lifestyles reshape how we live, work is increasingly taking precedence over personal relationships,”

he said.

“Yet across Asia, our deepest cultural values—respect for elders, family sacrifice, and spiritual legacy remain strong. When we intentionally nurture these, we don’t just strengthen families locally; we help lead a global movement that places the family at the center of a flourishing, faith-rooted society.”

FFG nations Pakistan, Japan, Myanmar, and Indonesia shared cultural presentations

The Visual and Performing Arts Group of the Philippine Army’s Civil-Military Operations Regiment offered a moving tribute, especially meaningful as the Army is one of the sectors reached by Pamilya Muna Pilipinas through family-strengthening workshops. Their performance reflected the heart of the movement: diverse in culture, united in purpose.

As Family First Global continues to expand its reach across Asia and into Europe, the message remains clear: when families are strengthened, COMMUNITIES AND EVEN NATIONS ARE TRANSFORMED.
